About the Role:

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Data Engineer to join our remote team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and infrastructure that support real-time and batch data processing. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, analysts, and software engineers, to deliver reliable, high-quality data systems that power analytics, insights, and data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines and ETL workflows
  • Build and manage scalable data architectures and cloud-based infrastructure
  • Ensure data accuracy, completeness, consistency, and governance
  • Collaborate with analytics and engineering teams to understand data needs
  • Optimize performance of data systems, queries, and storage solutions
  • Implement data quality monitoring and alerting systems
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for data workflows and schemas
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in data engineering and cloud technologies

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar data infrastructure role
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or Scala
  • Proficient in SQL and experienced with relational (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Cassandra) databases
  • Experience with data processing frameworks like Apache Spark,Hadoop, Kafka, or Flink
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Azure
  • Familiarity with modern data warehousing tools (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery)
  • Experience with orchestration tools like Airflow, Luigi, or Prefect
  • Understanding of data security, privacy, and compliance practices (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git)
  • Exposure to machine learning pipelines and model deployment
  • Advanced certifications in cloud or big data platforms
