Database Architect Position

We are seeking a highly skilled database architect to join our team. As a key member of the database development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance databases using Microsoft SQL Server.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain complex T-SQL queries, stored procedures, indexes, functions, and triggers.
  • Optimize database performance through effective indexing, query tuning, and partitioning.
  • Develop and implement data migration scripts to ensure seamless data transfer between systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements and design optimal database solutions.
  • Maintain high-quality code, following industry standards and best practices.
  • Participate in code reviews to ensure consistency and adherence to company standards.

Requirements:

  • 4-10 years of experience in designing, developing, and maintaining large-scale databases using Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Strong proficiency in T-SQL, including writing efficient queries, stored procedures, and functions.
  • Experience with database performance tuning, indexing, and partitioning.
  • Good knowledge of SQL Server 2008, 2008 R2, 2012, and 2014, with hands-on migration experience.
  • Familiarity with backup and recovery options, including basic recovery under guidance.
  • Working knowledge of SQL Server profiler and ability to administer and alter security and audit parameters.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with clustering, mirroring, and log shipping.
  • Knowledge of SQL Server high availability features, such as replication.
  • Good understanding of Windows OS and ability to administer and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
