Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned database professional to join our team and drive database engineering excellence.

  • Design, build, deliver and support high-performance databases.
  • Create robust database structures with advanced security features.
  • Collaborate closely with application and infrastructure teams to ensure critical services meet required standards.
  • Automate routine database tasks using configuration management tools.
  • Evolve database storage structures to meet growing business needs.
  • Provide expert database technical guidance and troubleshoot issues in real-time environments.
  • Enhance monitoring capabilities by identifying problems and implementing effective solutions.
  • Demonstrate expertise in backup and recovery using RMAN.
  • Show knowledge of ASM and Dataguard.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • At least seven years of experience working with Oracle databases, preferably in 12c or 19c versions.
  • Hands-on experience with DevOps tools, particularly Ansible.
  • Familiarity with various DB technologies, including PostgreSQL, Sybase, and SQL Server.
  • Experience with Vagrant, VMs, and scheduling tools, or willingness to learn.
  • Knowledge of modern DevOps tooling, such as GIT, cloud technologies, API development, and configuration management.
  • Able to participate in platform improvement initiatives, focusing on performance enhancement and production stability.
  • Experience working in fast-paced Agile environments, with excellent problem-solving, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Strong ownership of problems to completion, with effective communication to stakeholders for task updates and delivery.
