We are seeking an experienced Database Architect to lead the design and implementation of our database architecture.
This is a key role that involves working closely with engineering teams to model new schemas, optimize indexes, and review queries.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing scalable data architectures for high availability and performance
- Maintaining, monitoring, and tuning production and staging databases
- Managing backups, restores, replication, and disaster recovery strategies
- Ensuring uptime and performance SLAs are met across cloud and hybrid environments
Additional responsibilities:
- Administering RDS, Aurora, and EC2-hosted database instances
- Monitoring database performance using CloudWatch, Performance Insights, and third-party tools
- Implementing and enforcing best practices in database normalization, partitioning, and data lifecycle management
- Ensuring data encryption, access controls, and audit logging are in place and compliant with company policies
The ideal candidate will have:
- Extensive experience in designing and implementing database architectures
- Strong knowledge of database management systems and technologies
