Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned engineering leader to spearhead our healthcare claims processing engineering teams. As an Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for designing and architecting scalable systems, leading technical decision-making, and ensuring system reliability and performance standards meet compliance requirements.

The ideal candidate will have strong system design experience, distributed systems knowledge, and exceptional people management skills. You will build, lead, and mentor a team of software engineers, conduct regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and career development planning. Foster a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and technical excellence.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • 6+ years of software engineering experience with 1+ years in engineering management
  • Strong system design experience with distributed systems, microservices, and event-driven architectures
  • Hands-on coding experience
  • Experience with real-time processing systems and high-volume transaction processing
  • Track record of successful large-scale system migrations or platform modernizations
  • Proven track record of scaling engineering teams and managing technical talent
  • Deep knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), databases, and modern engineering practices
  • Experience with agile methodologies and continuous integration/deployment
