Job Title: Chief Academic Officer

The Chief Academic Officer plays a pivotal role in shaping the institution's vision and academic direction. This dynamic leader oversees a wide range of responsibilities, from academics and research excellence to operations, including financial leadership, student experience, success, and well-being, as well as global partnerships.

Key Duties & Accountabilities:
  • Strategic Academic Leadership: Develops and implements strategies to align the university with global standards and emerging trends in education and healthcare.
  • Research and Innovation Development: Fosters a vibrant research culture by supporting faculty and students in scholarly activities, publishing, and securing research funding.
  • Institutional Governance and Compliance: Ensures compliance with statutory, regulatory, and accreditation requirements, overseeing the functioning of statutory bodies such as the Academic Council, Finance Committee, and Board of Management.
  • External Engagement and Representation: Represents the university at national and international platforms to build visibility and reputation, establishing partnerships with academic institutions, healthcare providers, research bodies, and industries.
  • Student Success: Champions student welfare, mentoring, career readiness, and holistic development, creating a safe, inclusive, and intellectually stimulating campus environment.

Qualifications:

  • A distinguished academician with teaching experience in a reputable institution.
  • A medical Doctor or Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) from a premier institution with experience in academic education, research, curriculum development, administration, and management.
  • Minimum 10+ years of experience as a professor or equivalent position held in a university system or reputed research or academic administrative organizations.
