Job Title: MEP CAD Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical, Electrical, and Public Health (MEP) specialist to join our team as a CAD Technician. The successful candidate will work closely with engineers and designers to deliver high-quality 2D and 3D CAD drawings and models.

About the Role:

The MEP CAD Technician will be responsible for preparing accurate and coordinated documentation to support efficient project delivery. This will involve working closely with project teams to ensure that all technical requirements are met.

Key Responsibilities:

">
  • Prepare detailed 2D drawings and 3D models of mechanical, electrical, and public health systems in AutoCAD and/or Revit (BIM).
  • Work closely with MEP Engineers and Designers to translate design concepts into coordinated drawings.
  • Ensure drawings comply with project requirements, building regulations, industry standards, and company CAD/BIM protocols.
  • Assist in the development of coordinated services drawings, clash detection, and model updates.
  • Maintain drawing registers, file management systems, and revision control.
  • Support project teams in producing tender, construction, and as-built drawings.

Qualifications & Skills:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD (essential) and Revit MEP/BIM (preferred).
  • Experience in preparing MEP drawings and understanding of building services design.
  • Familiarity with British Standards, Building Regulations, and industry codes of practice.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to manage workload, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.

Desirable Qualifications:

It would be beneficial if you had experience with Navisworks, clash detection, or other BIM coordination tools.
