Job Title: MEP Specialist

 

We are seeking an experienced MEP Specialist to join our team. As a skilled expert in developing detailed models from drawings, sketches and calculations for MEP systems, you will be responsible for setting up, managing and coordinating models, drawings with other disciplines and working closely with the design team.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop accurate Revit models and construction documentation for MEP systems from schematic design through construction phases.
  • Collaborate closely with architects, design engineers, and project managers to understand design intent and project requirements.
  • Proficiency in using BIM authoring tools to provide technical support to the project team.
  • Set up linked models and coordinate models across disciplines.
  • Follow established BIM execution plans and adhere to project specific documentation.
  • Ensure models follow established standards and goals in the BIM execution plan.
  • Create discipline-specific BIM system families for projects.
  • Generate accurate floor plans, sections, details, schedules and quantity take-offs.
  • Ensure all models comply with project design intent, relevant building codes, standards and project specifications.
  • Maintain and organize Revit project files, libraries, and standards.
  • Assist in the review of shop drawings and submittals for compliance with contract documents.
  • Stay updated on the latest Revit software updates, industry trends, and best practices.

 

Requirements:

  • Diploma in MEP Engineering Design.
  • 8-10 years of proven experience as a Revit Modeller with a strong portfolio demonstrating experience in modelling MEP services in architectural and interior fit-out projects.
  • Ability to take lead in resolving issues and challenges.
  • Expert proficiency in Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD.
  • Strong understanding of construction documents, detailing, and building materials.
  • Familiarity with relevant building codes and standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, MEP drawings.
  • Strong attention to accuracy and details.
  • Good communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work with a multi-disciplinary team.
