Job Description

At our esteemed educational institution, we are seeking a dedicated and experienced Physiotherapist to join our team. This dynamic role is crucial in providing specialized therapeutic support to enhance the well-being and development of our pupils with diverse learning needs.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in physiotherapy, coupled with proven experience in teaching or working with individuals with varied learning difficulties. Exceptional patience, empathy, and strong interpersonal skills are essential for this role, as it involves close collaboration with students, their families, and multidisciplinary teams.

This position requires adaptability to meet the unique needs of each student through customized therapy interventions. You will be responsible for conducting comprehensive assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, and delivering tailored physiotherapy sessions.

As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will work closely with teaching staff, occupational therapists, speech & language therapists, and school nurses to ensure seamless care delivery. Your contributions will include:

  • Conducting thorough assessments for children with various needs.
  • Developing, implementing, and reviewing individualized treatment plans.
  • Delivering 1:1 and group physiotherapy sessions.
  • Providing support for physical access and mobility within the school environment.
  • Monitoring progress and outcomes using evidence-based tools.

In addition to these responsibilities, you will provide training to school staff and families on physiotherapy programs, manual handling, and positioning techniques. A degree in Physiotherapy (BSc or MSc) and HCPC registration are required for this position. Manual Handling and Safeguarding Children certifications are also necessary.
