Job Overview:

  • We are seeking a skilled Communication Associate to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day execution of projects and workstreams, including creating work plans, tracking progress, and managing deliverables tied to grants.
  • The ideal candidate will develop and implement a communication strategy for specific grants, engaging with mainstream media and social media platforms.
  • They will also manage online presence, content calendars, and scheduling for specific grants, as well as liaise with external partners and maintain strong partner communication.
  • Additionally, the successful candidate will conduct research and analysis, synthesizing findings into actionable insights, and assist in drafting reports, case studies, and other knowledge outputs.
  • They will also support ecosystem engagement efforts, representing the team in external convenings and coordinating internal team meetings, managing calendars, and supporting logistical needs.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in the development sector, preferably in communications, with an entrepreneurial mindset and ability to work independently.
  • Exceptional storytelling and communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives and manage complex project deliverables with agility and adaptability.
  • Excellent strategic thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills, with a focus on impact and outcomes.
  • Familiarity with both public and private sectors, as well as the donor/philanthropy space, is preferred.
