Job Title: Social Community Developer

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated professional to join our team as a Social Community Developer. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing and implementing projects that promote social welfare and community development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement project plans that align with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to secure necessary support for project execution.
  • Encourage innovative approaches in project activities and conduct regular field visits to monitor progress.
  • Foster community involvement and ownership of project activities for long-term sustainability.
  • Maintain transparency and accountability in all project activities.
  • Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders at community, ward, and district levels.
  • Represent the organization at meetings, committees, and advocacy forums.

Requirements:

  • Graduate in Social Work/ Rural Development/ Rural Management/ Social Sciences or any degree with NGO experience.
  • 1+ years' experience in program implementation in the social sector.
  • Good understanding of social and environmental concepts and methods.
  • Fluency in English, Tamil and Hindi languages.

Skills:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively.
  • A thorough understanding of the sector is required.
  • Ability to develop good relationships with stakeholders.
  • Open to new challenges.
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritise tasks.
  • Attention to detail is essential.
  • Able to meet deadlines and produce quality outputs.
  • Proactive and self-motivated.
  • Humility, honesty, transparency, integrity and confidentiality.
