US Taxation Leadership Role

We are seeking an experienced US taxation professional to join our team in a leadership capacity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the preparation and review of complex financial services client returns, including hedge funds, private equity, and fund of funds.
  • Conduct a detailed review of state returns for financial services clients.
  • Identify international filing requirements through org chart studies and review international tax returns.
  • Train existing and new team members on concepts, technology, and provide timely feedback on project reviews.
  • Supervise kick-off calls to understand client needs, facilitate regular connects with US counterparts, and intervene in conflicts.
  • Guide staff and seniors on potential tax adjustments due to tax law changes, e-filing validations, and other responsibilities.
  • Recruit, train, perform evaluations, mentor team members, and enable the team to achieve organizational goals.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Ability to conduct independent tax research in unseen tax scenarios.
  • Good communication skills, fluency in English (written and spoken), and readiness to learn new tax software.
  • Quick learner, enthusiastic, positive demeanor, and team player.
  • Ready to work long hours during busy season times, meet deadlines, and work based on project urgency.
  • Good at multi-tasking and handling various projects simultaneously.
  • Good at training, supervising staff, and getting work done in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Ability to guide subordinates through technical problems and build working relationships with peers, supervisors, and U.S colleagues.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Qualified Chartered Accountant, Certified Public Accountant (US), IRS Enrolled Agent.
  • Experience in detail review of tax returns, knowledge of CCh Axcess Tax, Gofile room, Case ware, and relevant experience more than 5+ years with major experience into Financial Services Returns.
