Product Development Specialist

As a Product Development Specialist, your primary objectives will be to ensure Production teams and suppliers understand our customers and are aware of the latest trends. You will have ownership in securing the product development process from start to finish, involving product risk assessment & best product selection from a customer perspective, in alignment with the assortment strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing and executing global development strategies in alignment with the assortment, and in close collaboration with key stakeholders. Always work with the customer in mind, observing how customers react to trends and contemporary life to stay prepared for communication with designers.
  • Securing supplier collection development according to business requirements, doing final selections together with key stakeholders, and acting on updates of best sellers based on selling reports.
  • Following industry trends and drawing conclusions on what to prioritize and focus on in specific markets.
  • Providing the business team with necessary information based on customer needs, section trends, and developments.
  • Responsible for educating and developing suppliers in product flow capabilities, complexity levels, and ensuring alignment on customer understanding towards self-reliance.
  • Involved in securing product development flow and sample handling processes, and working proactively towards sustainable product development processes.
  • Acting as a product representative on the ground and playing an important role in problem-solving.
  • Responsible for developing local market assortments by creating relevant briefs, securing supplier collections in right time and quality, doing final selections together with key stakeholders, and acting on updates of best sellers based on selling reports.
  • Jewellery design knowledge, able to understand design briefs.
  • Years of Experience: 4-7 years.
  • Knowledge in materials like metal, plastic, stones, fabric, wood, etc.
  • Good communication skills.
