Cloud Database Migration Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Database Migration Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for designing and implementing large-scale Oracle database migration and transfer from on-premises to AWS cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement scalable and cost-effective database migration solutions using AWS best practices.
  • Perform performance tuning of database migration and transfer workflows to ensure low-latency and high-throughput for large datasets.
  • Optimize bandwidth and connectivity solutions for high-throughput data pipelines.
  • Implement secure and reliable network configurations for hybrid and multi-cloud setups.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and technical requirements.
  • Mentor and guide teams on best practices for cloud database migration, networking, performance tuning, and DevOps.

Requirements:

  • Deep understanding of networking protocols and cloud services (primarily AWS).
  • Experience in Oracle Database administration.
  • Knowledge of AWS services like RDS, EC2, DMS, DataPump, transportable tablespace, RMAN, S3, and others.
  • Ability to analyze and optimize cloud resource utilization to improve performance and reduce costs.
  • Excellent collaboration and leadership skills.
