Senior Database Architect Opportunity

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Database Architect to join our team. As a key member of our database strategy team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing robust, scalable, and secure database architectures using SQL Server and Oracle.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement database systems that support business goals and drive strategic initiatives.
  • Lead database modernization and migration projects, including on-prem to cloud migrations.
  • Oversee database performance tuning, capacity planning, and high-availability solutions to ensure optimal system performance.
  • Establish and enforce database standards, security policies, backup and recovery procedures to protect sensitive data.
  • Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams to ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.
  • Provide guidance on best practices in database development, indexing, partitioning, and data modeling to junior DBAs and developers.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of experience as a DBA with strong hands-on experience in MS SQL Server (2016/2019/2022) and Oracle (12c/19c/21c).
  • Solid experience in database architecture, clustering, replication, and disaster recovery planning.
  • Proficient in T-SQL, PL/SQL, and scripting for automation (PowerShell, Bash, etc.).
  • Experience with cloud-based databases (Azure SQL, Amazon RDS, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure).
  • Strong understanding of data security, encryption, auditing, and compliance standards.
  • Proven ability to manage large-scale, mission-critical database systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate / MCSE: Data Management and Analytics.
  • Oracle Certified Professional (OCP).
  • Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
