Job Title: Switchgear/Switchboard Design Expert

We are seeking an accomplished switchgear/s-switchboard design expert to join our organization. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of UL-compliant switchgear and switchboard design principles.

As a key member of our team, the successful candidate will be responsible for creating detailed designs for enclosures, busbar supports, frames, and layouts for switchgear/switchboards. This will involve developing 2D/3D CAD models, fabrication drawings, and BOMs using AutoCAD and SolidWorks.

  • Designing switchgear and switchboards that meet or exceed UL 1558 (Switchgear), UL 891 (Switchboards), UL 508A (Control Panels), and UL 67 (Panelboards) standards.
  • Ensuring proper mechanical/electrical integration through the interpretation of electrical schematics.
  • Collaborating with electrical designers to provide fully integrated solutions.
  • Addressing thermal management, mechanical strength, structural stability, and vibration requirements.

Key Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in switchgear/switchboard design with a strong background in mechanical and electrical engineering principles.
  • Expertise in using AutoCAD and SolidWorks software to create detailed designs and models.
  • Ability to interpret electrical schematics and ensure proper mechanical/electrical integration.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
