About the Role

We are a leading provider of IT consultancy services, specialising in the transformation of complex global enterprises.

Our team is looking for data engineers to help deliver our services for our global customer base.

Your Place in the Team

As a data engineer, your responsibilities will involve the daily management of incidents, operational maintenance and support, development support, and proactive/preventative analysis of systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyse data & analytics related incidents and provide fixes.
  • Re-create, analyse, troubleshoot, and diagnose incidents relating to off-the-shelf and proprietary applications and/or platforms.
  • Determine root cause of incidents (configuration vs. defect).
  • Liaise with teams for corrective actions or workarounds to resolve incidents.
  • Install applications in supported environments.
  • Deploy application upgrades and fixes.
  • Respond to automated alerts on system health.
  • Execute scheduled or unscheduled tasks for operational maintenance and monitoring of applications.
  • Audit systems for preventative maintenance and report on their status.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or other related subject.
Essential Experience
  • Experience in data & analytics support/project using Azure and BI reporting tools.
  • Experience in following technical areas: Azure Cloud, Data Lake, Databricks, Data Factory, Logic Apps, Azure SQL Database, SQL, PL/SQL, TSQL, Python, PySpark.
  • Ability to read and understand code for diagnosis and escalation.
  • Knowledge of troubleshooting tools and techniques related to networks and systems.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills.
  • Ability to organise and prioritise in a demanding environment.
  • Attention to detail and team working skills.
Preferred Experience
  • SAP or ERP understanding/experience.
  • Experience in ETL Tools, Databases, Warehouse, Programming languages, Transport Protocol and code management.
