Job Description:

Senior Data Engineer

Location: Hyderabad

Notice Period: Immediate-15 Days

Company: People Tech Group

Purpose

Lead and deliver scalable, secure, and compliant data engineering solutions. Drive data pipeline development and architecture, ensuring high performance and reliability across systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines for structured and unstructured data.
  • Optimize data workflows for performance, cost, and quality.
  • Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines for data applications.
  • Establish monitoring, alerting, and data quality checks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Data Scientists, Analysts, and DevOps.
  • Mentor and support junior data engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing.
  • Ensure solutions meet data governance and compliance standards.

Required Skills

  • Proficient in Apache Spark and distributed data processing.
  • Strong programming skills in Python and/or Scala .
  • Advanced SQL skills and experience with data modeling.
  • Experience with orchestration tools like Apache Airflow , AWS Step Functions , or similar.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • CI/CD and version control tools (e.g., Git, Jenkins, GitLab CI).
  • Monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering, building and managing large-scale data infrastructure.
  • Proven track record of mentoring and leading technical initiatives.
