Our company is seeking a highly skilled lead to manage backend development, guide engineers and deliver high-performance applications. This role involves leading backend architecture and development, guiding a team of engineers and delivering high-performance applications.

About the Role

As a lead, you will take ownership of backend architecture and development, guide a team of engineers and deliver high-performance applications. You will work on integrations, custom solutions and platforms like Magento, WordPress and Shopify, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead backend development using modern PHP frameworks.
  • Architect scalable, secure and maintainable systems.
  • Manage system integrations via REST APIs, GraphQL, EDI and third-party services.
  • Oversee projects involving Magento, WordPress, Shopify and related stacks.
  • Conduct code reviews, mentor developers and implement best practices.
  • Collaborate with product, design, frontend and DevOps teams for end-to-end delivery.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5-7 years of backend development experience in PHP, with deep expertise in Laravel.
  • Experience working with Magento, WordPress and Shopify.
  • Strong background in system integrations using APIs (REST, GraphQL), EDI and webhooks.
  • Proficiency in PHP, Laravel, Java, ReactJS, Node.js, MySQL, NoSQL, MongoDB, CI/CD pipelines, Docker and version control (Git).
  • Cloud platforms, especially AWS.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and excellent team collaboration skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple clients.
  • Flexibility to work in a small company.
