Microsoft 365 Consultant Job Description

The role of a Microsoft 365 consultant involves working with clients to implement and optimize their Microsoft 365 solutions. This includes hands-on technical configuration, evaluation of on-premises infrastructure, and preparation for migration to the cloud.

A key part of this job is providing technical advice and consultancy to sales and project teams, as well as participating in client meetings by leading on technical matters and collaborating with customer technology staff and/or suppliers.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support and guidance to clients on implementing and optimizing their Microsoft 365 solutions.
  • Evaluate on-premises infrastructure and prepare for migration to the cloud.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality technical documentation and implementation plans.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • English language proficiency at C1 level or above.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Relevant certifications such as Microsoft 365 related certifications.
  • Strong technical skills across Azure Identity Services, Intune, Exchange Online, Microsoft SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive.
  • Information protection and governance skills including sensitivity labels, DLP, and ATP Defender.
  • Cloud application security skills.
  • PowerShell scripting skills.
  • Application packaging skills.
  • On-premises and traditional infrastructure technologies including virtualization, VDI, storage, firewalls, AV + Threat Protection, Windows Server, DNS/DHCP, backup solutions.
  • Migration experience and knowledge of migration tooling.
  • Strong analytical and documentation skills.
  • Excellent PowerPoint skills.
