Airport operations specialists are key personnel in ensuring the smooth operation of airport systems and applications. They oversee a range of tasks, from supporting airport systems and applications to working with global distribution system (GDS) and departure control systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support airport systems and applications for crew, ground, departure control, turn around, baggage, and loading.
  • Work with GDS systems and supported DCS systems for reservations, passenger check-ins & boarding, baggage check-in, load management.
  • Manage crew resources and support baggage systems like monitoring and operating automated baggage handling systems.
  • Generate flight load sheets, baggage reports, advance passenger information system (APIS).
  • Identify and resolve incidents/problems using incident management & problem management tools.
Requirements:
  • Graduate degree in any stream with relevant travel experience.
  • International air transport association (IATA) certification or diploma in travel and tourism.
  • Good knowledge of the airline industry.
  • Previous work experience in airport operations and systems.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office and other standard desktop applications.
  • Excellent analytical and research skills, along with good troubleshooting and coordination skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision and meet stringent service level agreements (SLAs).
