Job Description: Quality Assurance Lead for E-commerce Platforms

We are seeking an experienced QA professional to lead the quality assurance function for our e-commerce platform. As a key member of our digital team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing quality strategies, managing test automation, and ensuring all digital assets meet the highest standards of performance, reliability, and usability.

This is a leadership role requiring close collaboration with product, devops, engineering, and business teams. You will work in a fast-paced, agile environment focused on customer satisfaction and product quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and implement a robust QA strategy, test plans, and testing processes for our e-commerce platform and mobile applications.
  • Lead a team of manual and automation QA engineers, mentoring and scaling the team as needed.
  • Establish and enforce best practices in functional, regression, performance, load, security, and UAT testing.
  • Develop and maintain automated testing frameworks for API, web, and mobile platforms (Selenium, Appium, etc.).
  • Evaluate cross-browser and cross-device compatibility testing for all UI components.
  • Collaborate with development teams in Agile/Scrum environments to ensure early and continuous testing.
  • Drive CI/CD testing integration using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline.
  • Own the bug triage and release sign-off process with a focus on fast iteration and zero-defect releases.
  • Define, monitor, and report quality KPIs (defect leakage, code coverage, test execution rates).

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in QA, with 3+ years in a leadership/managerial role.
  • Hands-on experience in both manual and automated testing.
  • Strong expertise in Selenium, Appium, Postman, or similar tools.
  • Experience with API testing, load testing (e.g., JMeter), and security testing.
  • Familiarity with e-commerce platforms (Laravel, custom stacks) or marketplaces.
  • Strong understanding of Agile development, Jira, and version control (Git).
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
