Performance Optimization Specialist

A Performance Optimization Specialist is responsible for executing performance tests on custom services using load generating tools across multiple protocols. They work in Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) environments and cloud-based infrastructures, leveraging Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Gatling, GitHub, and Maven.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Demonstrate ability to execute performance tests on custom services using load generating tools such as Load Runner, JMeter, and SOAP UI across multiple protocols including Web HTTP and Siebel.
  • Experience working in CI/CD environments and cloud-based infrastructures utilizing Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Gatling, GitHub, and Maven.
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes, Microservices, AWS Cloud, and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
  • Demonstrate experience in performance test scripting and execution.
  • Ability to analyze Non-Functional Requirements (NFRs) and volumetric analysis.
  • Proficiency in programming languages C, Java, VB Macros, Basic SQL, and shell scripts for customization and automation.
  • Sound understanding of Java Virtual Machine (JVM) architecture, JVM, garbage collection, class loading, thread dumps, and database analysis for Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Knowledge of monitoring and profiling for application stacks using Application Performance Monitoring (APM) tools such as HP Diagnostics, CA Wily, Dynatrace, and AppDynamics.
  • Able to accurately analyze performance test results and highlight issues in both technical and business language.

Additional Requirements:

Experience supporting tools such as Fiddler, Firebug, HAR, and Lighthouse will be an added advantage.
