We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Scrum Leader to join our team at BNY. As a Scrum Leader, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining Scrum, facilitating understanding of Scrum theory and practice, and serving the Scrum Team and the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain Scrum, facilitating understanding of Scrum theory and practice
  • Serve the Scrum Team and the organization, removing impediments to progress and ensuring all Scrum events take place and are positive, productive, and kept within the timebox
  • Help Teams focus on creating high-value Increments that meet the Definition of Done, coaching Teams in self-management and cross-functionality
  • Serve the Product Owner by facilitating stakeholder collaboration, providing techniques for effective product goal definition and backlog management, and helping establish empirical product planning for complex environments
  • Help employees and stakeholders understand and enact an empirical approach for complex work, removing barriers between stakeholders and Scrum Teams
Requirements
  • 6-8 years of relevant experience in a similar role, with previous technical experience preferred
  • Knowledge of various Agile approaches, including Scrum, SAFe, XP, Kanban, and Spotify
  • Awareness and experience with widely successful Agile techniques, such as User Stories, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, and Agile Games
  • Ability to learn new technology quickly, demonstrated by experience in an engineering environment
  • Excellent communication and mentoring skills, with a talent for driving change and resolving conflicts across multiple parties
