Procurement Manager Job Description

Are you a skilled procurement professional seeking a new challenge? As a Procurement Manager, you will play a critical role in managing the end-to-end procurement process from sourcing to payment.

This is a key position within the organization that requires strong technical skills, including experience in purchasing, supplier management, and contract management. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and project management skills, as well as the ability to motivate cross-functional teams and build strong relationships with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage material requirements and specifications to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
  • Review and analyze bid responses to identify potential risks and opportunities.
  • Prepare and release purchase orders to suppliers, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
  • Resolve supplier queries and follow up on critical purchase orders to ensure timely resolution.
  • Maintain accurate master data and updates to support procurement activities.
  • Identify and develop mitigation plans to minimize potential risks and issues.
  • Establish and monitor issue management, change management, and quality management processes to ensure smooth operations.
  • Organize meetings between teams, suppliers, and customers to foster collaboration and improve relationships.
  • Prepare project status reports and submit them to senior management for review and approval.
  • Drive governance calls with stakeholders to ensure alignment and consistency.

As a Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for driving transformation and automation projects in procurement, leveraging IT tools for supply chain planning. A good understanding of the oil and gas or energy services industry is desirable but not required.

Requirements:
  • Proven track record of success in procurement and supply chain management.
  • Excellent technical skills, including experience in purchasing, supplier management, and contract management.
  • Strong communication and project management skills.
  • Ability to motivate cross-functional teams and build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Good understanding of IT tools for supply chain planning.
Benefits:

Competitive salary range of 500,000 - 800,000 INR per annum, paid in Indian Rupees (INR).
