Sports Apparel & Accessories Division Manager

Job Overview:

We are seeking an accomplished professional to lead our Sports Apparel & Accessories division. As a seasoned executive, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategies that drive growth, innovation, and excellence in the industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Product Assortment Management:

  • Develop and curate product selections across various categories including Cricket, Soccer, Golf, Pickleball, Basketball, and Running.
  • Identify, source, and develop innovative ranges of apparel and accessories for sports and activewear collections.

End-to-End Buying Process:

  • Conduct thorough trend analysis to inform product decisions and stay ahead of emerging trends.
  • Negotiate with vendors to secure optimal pricing and terms, building lasting relationships.
  • Manage inventory effectively and develop strategic assortment plans to maximize profitability.

Accessories Business Development:

  • Expand and optimize the accessories portfolio across multiple sports categories, leveraging expertise to drive growth.
  • Demonstrate a proven track record in accessories buying, sourcing, and development, delivering exceptional results.

Supplier Management:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with domestic and international suppliers, ensuring seamless collaboration.
  • Continuously evaluate and expand the supplier base to ensure product innovation, quality, and reliability.

Market Analysis:

  • Utilize analytical skills to interpret market data, identify opportunities, and make informed decisions.
  • Stay abreast of emerging trends in the sports and activewear industry, applying knowledge to drive business success.

Quality Control:

  • Ensure all products meet high-quality standards through meticulous attention to detail and rigorous quality control processes.

Qualifications:

  • NIFT graduate (Post-graduation in a relevant discipline is advantageous)
  • 11-14 years of experience in a similar role within the sports or activewear industry
  • Proven success in accessories buying, product sourcing, development, and assortment planning
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel for data analysis and reporting
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to build lasting vendor relationships
  • Keen eye for emerging trends and product innovation
  • Excellent analytical and decision-making skills
