Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager for our Sports Apparel & Accessories division, specializing in Buying & Merchandising. The ideal candidate will be a NIFT graduate with 11-14 years of experience in the sports or activewear industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Product Assortment Management:

  • Identify, source, and develop an innovative range of apparel and accessories for sports and activewear collections.
  • Curate product selections across various categories including Cricket, Soccer, Golf, Pickleball, Basketball, and Running.

End-to-End Buying Process:

  • Conduct thorough trend analysis to inform product decisions.
  • Negotiate with vendors to secure optimal pricing and terms.
  • Manage inventory effectively and develop strategic assortment plans.

Accessories Business Development:

  • Expand and optimize the accessories portfolio across multiple sports categories.
  • Demonstrate a proven track record in accessories buying, sourcing, and development.

Supplier Management:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with both domestic and international suppliers.
  • Continuously evaluate and expand the supplier base to ensure product innovation and quality.

Market Analysis:

  • Utilize strong analytical skills to interpret market data and make informed decisions.
  • Stay abreast of emerging trends in the sports and activewear industry.

Quality Control:

  • Ensure all products meet high-quality standards through meticulous attention to detail.

Qualifications:

  • NIFT graduate (Post-graduation in a relevant discipline is advantageous)
  • 11-14 years of experience in a similar role within the sports or activewear industry
  • Proven success in accessories buying, product sourcing, development, and assortment planning
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel for data analysis and reporting
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to build lasting vendor relationships
  • Keen eye for emerging trends and product innovation
  • Excellent analytical and decision-making skills
