Job Description

As a Senior Finance Executive at FOLKS VFX, you will be responsible for identifying, measuring, and recording all business transactions related to accounts payable and receivables. This includes other business transactions of the India operation, such as fixed assets, prepaid, and provisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and set up weekly payment batches based on ageing reports, including statutory payments within prescribed timelines.
  • Prepare and circulate bank advice to vendors.
  • Prepare bank reconciliations and update outward and inward payments on a regular basis.
  • Assist in month-end closing activities.
  • Issue purchase orders for capital expenditures and operating expenses.
  • Prepare and maintain fixed asset registers, including capitalization, monthly depreciation runs, asset retirement, and depreciation working in accordance with the Income Tax Act.
  • Liaise with the Group, Internal, and Statutory auditors to provide timely and accurate information as requested.
  • Assist the reporting manager and team in handling various audits and basic assessment requirements, including statutory, income tax, GST, and other departmental audits.
  • Work with the reporting manager and team to ensure timely compliance with payments and regulatory requirements related to TDS, GST, GST returns with GSTR-2A, quarterly TDS returns, audit schedules, and issuance of Form 16A.
  • Ensure timely preparation and correct filing of monthly and quarterly TDS and GST returns, including remitting taxes within prescribed timelines.
  • Collaborate with other accounts and finance team members on activities and projects connected within the overall framework of the India finance team.
