Job Opportunity: Private Credit Fund Accounting Specialist

The role requires an experienced professional to lead a senior-level team in fund accounting operations. The ideal candidate will oversee all closed-ended fund accounting activities, working closely with clients' Fund Administrators, Relationship Managers, and Operations Heads within the U.S.

This position involves managing a variety of funds, including Private Equity Credit Funds. Key responsibilities include overseeing fund administrators and team members to ensure accurate and efficient delivery of fund accounting services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversight of fund administrators and team members to guarantee accurate and efficient fund accounting service delivery.
  • Management of multiple funds, including Private Equity Credit Funds.
  • Complex P&L allocations across various entities within fund structures (Master-Feeder, SPVs, Blockers).
  • Support teams in performing waterfall calculations and ensuring their accuracy.
  • Compliance with operational procedures and checklists.
  • Leadership, coaching, and professional development for team members.
  • TASK allocation and delegation for optimal team efficiency.
  • Culture of continuous improvement within fund accounting operations.
  • Team capacity management for new business growth.
  • Primary escalation point for client inquiries and issue resolution.
  • Maintaining effective communication with internal stakeholders and external counterparts.
  • New business pitches participation and resource planning for service delivery.
  • Contributions to projects and product development initiatives within fund accounting.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or Economics (or international equivalent).
  • 10+ years of experience in fund accounting, with at least 6+ years in Private Credit Funds Accounting.
  • Specific experience in Private Credit Funds.
  • Experience with Credit Fund Structures (Master-Feeder, SPVs, Blockers).
  • Cash Reconciliation, Expense Reimbursement expertise.
  • Term Loans / Revolvers / Unitranche / Bridge Loans / DDTL / CLOs.
  • Loan Accounting including JE's – Interest Accruals, PIK, Paydowns, Prepayments, Defaults, Amortization of OID, Premium, Discount.
  • Loan Lifecycle / Letter of Credit / Covenant Tracking / Loan Settlements understanding.
  • Capital Calls, Distributions and Mfee knowledge.
  • Navigate NAV computation for Credit Funds.
  • Performance Reporting, IRR (Gross & Net) exposure.
  • Partners Capital allocations, Partner Transfers, PCAP expertise.
  • Financial Reporting (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow Statement, TB).
  • Waterfall Calculations, Hurdle Rate, Catch-up and Carry familiarity.
  • Compliance Reporting, Investor related reportings exposure.
  • Investran or similar fund accounting systems (Geneva, Efront etc.,) worked on.
  • SOP preparation, Process Improvement opportunities identification ability.
  • Audit support, client deliverables worked on.
  • Multi-entity / multi-currency structures exposure.
