Project Manager in Chemicals and Materials

We are seeking a highly motivated individual for the position of Project Manager in Chemicals and Materials Global Practice. This is a six-month contractual role within our Advisory team.

About the Role

This position will report to the Director, of Chemicals and Materials. You will be responsible for guiding research processes and deliverables of proprietary projects, overseeing efforts of individuals conducting research, and writing reports.

You will work with senior management to develop/refine the scope of studies, scheduling, budget, and client deliverables. Additionally, you will drive staff performance to the successful completion of studies, assure the content and quality of studies, and write/review reports for proprietary studies.

You will also work with project teams to conduct analysis, develop appraisal and recommendations, and prepare presentations and supporting documentation. Presenting findings to clients is a key responsibility, as is conducting primary interviews to obtain critical insights and information.

Requirements
  • At least ten years of experience in consulting in the chemical industry
  • Experience developing, managing, and presenting project results to senior management
  • Analytical, communication, presentation, and facilitation skills
  • Ability to manage, mentor, and motivate in a team environment
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Engineering (preferably Chemical), or a related field; MBA is a plus
  • Foreign language skills are a plus
  • Good oral and written English language skills are required
Preferred Qualifications
  • Excellent organization skills and ability to meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
