Job Overview

The Application Support Specialist is a crucial role responsible for configuring, monitoring, and maintaining access control and CCTV systems' software and hardware. The staff will be the primary contact for all security technology-related issues or outages.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Technical Product Support
    • To provide configuration assistance for Access Control and CCTV systems
    • To diagnose and troubleshoot software and hardware issues related to Access Control CCTV systems and other CSI applications
    • To offer remote support to internal clients on system configuration
    • To identify and analyze system failures and provide support to on-site technicians for break-fix
    • To track system issues through to resolution within agreed time limits
    • To escalate unresolved issues to relevant internal teams
    • To document technical knowledge in the form of notes and manuals at a dedicated file repository/knowledge base
  • Application Server Support
    • To install and configure security system applications on servers
    • To monitor application services hosted on servers 24/7
    • To properly escalate unresolved issues to relevant internal teams
  • Other Key Responsibilities
    • To respond promptly and professionally to emergency service calls during office hours and off-office hours, including nights
    • To involve team members to establish best practices/decisions
    • To work independently as required
    • To report to senior management to ensure satisfaction with work
    • To participate in departmental meetings
    Key Qualifications:
    • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
      • Knowledge of Access Control and CCTV systems. Experience in Installation and Maintenance of Access Control and CCTV Systems is beneficial
      • Experience in CCURE 9000 and CCURE GO software and related hardware (e.g., iStar controller) and integration
      • Experience in enterprise CCTV systems like Intellicence (Cognyte/Verint), Symphia VMS, Genetec video solutions etc.
      • Experience in Windows Server Operating systems (e.g., Windows Server 2016, 2019)
      • Experience in SQL is advantageous
      • Experience in PowerShell programming
      • Excellent problem-solving skills and analytical thinking
      • Technical troubleshooting and reverse engineering skills
      • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
      • Motivated self-starter and ability to multitask
    • Educational Qualification
      • Degree in Electronics/Computer Science or equivalent qualification
    Work Hours

Staff will work in shifts, including night shifts. Working hours will be 9 hours a day, 5 days a week.
