Job Description

Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Salesforce DevOps Specialist to join our team at Trimble. As a key member of our DevOps team, you will be responsible for implementing scalable solutions, including continuous delivery, optimization, monitoring, release management, and supporting the end-to-end release process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement scalable solutions for continuous delivery, optimization, monitoring, and release management.
  • Ensure seamless movement of Salesforce updates from development through staging to production.
  • Experience with Salesforce platform production deployments working in an agile methodology environment.
  • Willingness to learn Copado as a CICD tool (Copado / Bitbucket).
  • Experience in Salesforce and DevOps.
  • Ability to work with overlapping product release cycles.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Build, automate, deploy, and operate highly available, robust, resilient, and secure Salesforce applications.
  • Design, develop, debug, and operate resilient distributed systems that run across thousands of compute nodes in multiple data centers.
  • Creative problem-solving and out-of-the-box thinking.
  • Ability to quickly learn new Salesforce innovations and evaluate technical components from a business perspective.
  • Consult with internal customers and advocate for their requirements to teams.
  • Drive innovations to market with a customer perspective.
  • Communicate clearly and efficiently.
  • Define expectations for collaborating teams and hold them accountable.
  • Strong familiarity with case/ticketing queues, managing competing tasks, and troubleshooting requests.
  • Participate in the team's on-call rotation to address complex problems in real-time.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of work experience in Salesforce development with DevOps (Copado).
  • Solid understanding of how to configure, deploy, manage, and maintain Salesforce applications.
  • Experience in handling Salesforce metadata, environments, and sandbox management.
  • Proficiency with source control, continuous integration, and testing pipelines.
  • Experience with Version Control systems (GitHub, GitLab, Azure DevOps, etc.) and system registration, setup, branching strategy, environment strategy, etc.
  • Experience with Containers and orchestration services like Kubernetes, Docker, etc.
  • Knowledge about cloud security and best practices.
  • Proven ability to quickly learn and implement unfamiliar technologies.
  • Being a great listener, collaborator, communicator, and mentor.
  • A strong background in open-source technology and DevOps tools.
  • Championing a culture and work environment that promotes diversity and inclusion.
  • Experience with Version Control (Git).
  • Experience with continuous integration/continuous delivery tools such as Jenkins, GitHub actions, or Azure DevOps.
  • Experience with implementing any Salesforce DevOps Commercial tools such as Copado, Flosum, Gearset/Changeset, Autorabit, etc.
