Senior Credit Strategist

Job Overview:

The ideal candidate for this Senior Credit Strategist role will be responsible for driving credit underwriting vision and outlook, analyzing financial statements, and implementing credit policies and procedures. This position plays a crucial role in maintaining the organization's risk management framework.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive credit strategy to drive business growth while ensuring prudent risk management.
  • Analyze financial statements, assess business viability, and identify potential risks related to loan applications.
  • Design and implement effective credit policies and procedures at the state level, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor portfolio performance, identify early warning signs, and take corrective actions to mitigate potential losses.
  • Conduct thorough analyses of outstanding advances portfolios and lead credit tightening initiatives to maintain delinquency rates within acceptable limits.
  • Present regular risk and credit decks to senior management, providing actionable insights to inform strategic decisions.
  • Ensure that all stakeholders have a sound understanding of credit policy and its application across relevant levels.
  • Manage product functions, product design, portfolios, and performance at the state level, leveraging expertise to drive business outcomes.
  • Stay up-to-date with market trends and developments, applying knowledge to optimize credit strategies and product offerings.
  • Demonstrate proven experience in credit underwriting, particularly in construction equipment loans.
