Project Estimation Specialist

As a seasoned Estimator, you will be responsible for leading the development of comprehensive project estimates and bids. Your expertise in Excel will enable you to build complex cost breakdowns, high-level schedules, and risk registers.

  • You will review customer provided Request for Proposals (RFPs) documents to gain a thorough understanding of project scope, RFP response requirements, project specifications, project schedule, and customer objectives.
  • Develop tailored estimate and bid preparation templates specifically designed for each RFP project.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary project information and ensure accurate estimates.
  • Conduct thorough analysis and research to identify potential cost-saving opportunities and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to present estimates, address inquiries, and provide recommendations as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in estimating within the broadband, telecom, or outside plant industry.
  • Expertise in Excel with the ability to develop complex spreadsheets and models.
  • Self-motivated individual with a strong passion for the industry and a drive for excellence.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively interact with team members and clients.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in commercial and/or industrial low voltage and/or fiber optic cabling project coordination and estimating as combined, related, and relevant.
  • Able to read and understand blueprints, structural drawings, and plan sets.
  • Experience preparing budgets for each project.
  • Knowledge of construction materials, processes, trade practices, and equipment.
  • Proficiency in using software suites such as Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent written and communication skills in English.
