Job Opportunity

We are seeking a seasoned Data Governance Lead to spearhead the development and execution of enterprise-wide data governance initiatives.

  • This key role will sit within the Data Privacy team, overseeing data as a strategic asset to support privacy compliance, data quality, and ethical data use across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
  • The successful candidate will establish clear roles and responsibilities for data owners and stewards across business units, collaborating with extended teams and leadership to create program awareness and drive issue resolution/escalation.
  • They will facilitate cross-functional stewardship programs and councils to ensure accountability for authoritative data sources, data quality, accuracy, lineage, privacy, and compliance; maintain and enhance associated KPIs.
Data Quality & Integrity Initiatives
  • The Data Governance Lead will develop and implement data quality standards, validation rules, and monitoring processes.
  • They will collaborate with data engineering and analytics teams to remediate data issues and improve trust in enterprise data assets.
Data Classification & Protection Efforts
  • The successful candidate will direct the classification of data assets based on sensitivity, regulatory impact, and business value.
  • They will partner with Privacy, Security, and Legal teams to ensure appropriate controls are applied to sensitive and regulated data.
Governance Policies & Compliance Frameworks
  • The Data Governance Lead will author and maintain data governance policies, standards, and procedures aligned with privacy regulations (e.g. GDPR, CCPA).
  • They will ensure governance practices support audit readiness and regulatory compliance across jurisdictions.
