Data governance plays a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and consistency of an organization's data. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing the tools and technology required to enable a comprehensive data governance program.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in developing data governance programs using popular tools like Collibra, Informatica, and Alation. They will also have expertise in creating standard business glossaries and data dictionaries to facilitate enterprise-level integration of metadata stores.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing data governance tools to establish clear data ownership and access control management
  • Developing custom integrations between data governance tools and various data stores to map and view data lineage
  • Migrating existing data sources to a data governance tool
  • Implementing workflow management systems to optimize and automate data governance workflows
  • Tracking, investigating, and correcting data quality issues in a data governance tool

Required skills and qualifications:

  • Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related fields
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with data governance tools like Collibra, Informatica, and Alation
  • 5+ years of experience in data management space under any area
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proven ability to work with business stakeholders and leaders to identify and align on workable business solutions
  • Knowledge of data governance practices and approaches related to data protection
