Senior Data Governance Specialist

Our organization seeks a highly skilled Senior Data Governance Specialist to lead the implementation of our data governance program. The successful candidate will be responsible for building and supporting tools and technologies to enable an Enterprise Data Governance program.

  • Develop and implement data governance solutions in popular tools like Collibra, Informatica, Alation, etc.
  • Enable enterprise level integration of metadata stores for business users to search and understand information by developing standard business glossaries and data dictionaries.
  • Support in implementing a solution for Data Cataloging with a Data governance tool to establish clear data ownership along with access control management.
  • Build custom integrations between the Data governance tool and various data stores to map and view data lineage.
  • Support the enterprise in migrating from existing data sources to a Data Governance tool.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or other related fields, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience utilizing tools like Collibra, Informatica, Alation, etc. to implement Data governance programs.
  • 5+ years of experience in data management space under any area.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proven ability to work with business stakeholders and leaders to identify and align on workable business solutions to data privacy requirements and challenges.
  • Knowledge of data governance practices, business and technology issues related to management of enterprise information assets and approaches related to data protection.
  • Demonstrated consulting skills, with change management concepts and strategies.
  • Certifications on these tools is a plus.
