Job Description:

Senior Data Governance Expert

As a Senior Data Governance Expert, you will be responsible for leading the implementation, configuration, and optimization of data governance frameworks and practices within our organization. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to establish and enforce policies, ensure data quality and lineage, and maximize the value of our data assets.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead Data Governance Framework Implementation
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define and enforce data governance policies, standards, and best practices.
  • Configure and optimize data discovery, classification, and lineage tracking processes.
  • Develop and implement data quality management strategies to ensure accuracy, completeness, and reliability of our data assets.
  • Collaborate with data engineering and architecture teams to integrate with existing data platforms and tools.
  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data governance, analytics, and cloud computing.

Requirements

  • Strong Technical Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • 10-12 years of experience in data management, data governance, and analytics, with a focus on cloud-based platforms.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with Azure Purview, including implementation, configuration, and optimization.
  • Proficiency in data quality management, metadata management, and data lineage tracking.
  • Experience working with diverse data sources and platforms, including structured and unstructured data, relational databases, data lakes, and cloud-based storage solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Azure Certifications
  • Experience with other Azure services, such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Databricks, and Azure SQL Database.
  • Familiarity with data governance tools and platforms.
