Senior IBM Sterling Order Management Specialist

About the Job:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced technical specialist to join our team. As an expert in IBM Sterling Order Management, you will be responsible for the implementation, customization, development, and support of IBM Sterling solutions for our clients.

Your primary focus will be on ensuring the successful deployment and optimization of IBM Sterling systems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to achieve this goal.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the implementation and customization of IBM Sterling Order Management solutions for clients.
  • Collaborate with clients to gather and analyze business requirements, translating them into system configurations and customizations.
  • Configure and customize IBM Sterling Order Management software to meet specific client needs.
  • Conduct system testing and quality assurance to ensure the accuracy and functionality of IBM Sterling solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to IBM Sterling software, providing timely and effective support to clients.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of IBM Sterling with other systems and processes.
  • Provide training and support to end-users on IBM Sterling functionality, ensuring smooth adoption and utilization of the system.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 5 years hands-on experience with IBM Sterling Order Management (Sterling 9.1).
  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in custom database extensions, user exits, agents, and building Web Services.
  • Experience with distributed version control systems like GIT.
  • Experience with system integrations using JMS and web services (SOAP).
  • Excellent communication skills in both verbal and written forms.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java or C++ for system customizations and integrations.
  • Understanding of retail industry processes and point of sale operations.
