The Human Resource Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing the entire HR function, ensuring effective workforce management and compliance with labor laws. This involves talent acquisition and staffing, employee relations, performance management, training and development, and HR operations tailored to a dynamic retail environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Talent Acquisition & Staffing: Lead recruitment for store staff, sales teams, warehouse, and back-office functions. Ensure timely hiring and onboarding.
  • Employee Relations: Address grievances, ensure healthy work culture, and maintain high employee engagement levels.
  • Performance Management: Implement appraisal systems, set KPIs aligned with retail sales targets, and support career development.
  • Training & Development: Identify skill gaps, coordinate training programs for sales, warehouse, and support staff.
  • HR Operations: Manage payroll inputs, attendance, shift scheduling, leave management, and statutory compliance.
  • Policies & Compliance: Draft and implement HR policies, ensure compliance with labor laws, audits, and health & safety regulations.
  • Employee Retention: Drive employee motivation programs, reduce attrition, and promote long-term retention in retail operations.
  • HR Data & Reporting: Maintain HR MIS, generate reports on headcount, attrition, and manpower planning.

Requirements:

  • Master's / Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 6–10 years of HR experience, preferably in retail, wholesale, or FMCG sector.
  • Strong knowledge of labor laws and statutory compliance.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Hands-on experience with HRMS/payroll software.
  • Ability to manage diverse workforce including sales, warehouse, and support staff.
