Telecom Engineering Director Position

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Telecom Engineering Director to lead our Software Engineering organization. The successful candidate will have a strong technical background in telecom protocols, mobile core network architecture, and signalling analysis.

The Telecom Engineering Director will be responsible for defining the engineering strategy for our roaming product portfolio, ensuring alignment with business and product goals. This includes providing deep technical oversight in telecom protocols, mobile core network architecture, and signalling analysis.

The Telecom Engineering Director will collaborate closely with product management, sales, and customer delivery teams to ensure solutions meet customer needs and industry standards. They will drive customer satisfaction across a wide deployment base while ensuring revenue and roadmap commitments are delivered on time with high quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define the engineering strategy for Mobileum's roaming product portfolio
  • Provide deep technical oversight in telecom protocols, mobile core network architecture, and signalling analysis
  • Collaborate closely with product management, sales, and customer delivery teams
  • Drive customer satisfaction across a wide deployment base
  • Ensure revenue and roadmap commitments are delivered on time with high quality
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • ~20+ years in software engineering, with at least 8 years in senior leadership roles
  • Proven experience delivering enterprise-grade software in telecom roaming and core network domains
  • Expert-level knowledge of SS7, Diameter, GTP, MAP, SIP, SCTP, and mobile core architectures
  • Hands-on experience in roaming service development, interconnect billing, and signalling troubleshooting
  • Strong understanding of emerging trends such as IoT/M2M roaming and 5G service enablement
  • Demonstrated ability to manage distributed teams and deliver complex products to global telecom operators
