Project Leader

Job Summary:

  • We are seeking an experienced and dynamic project leader to oversee the delivery of retail interior projects.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing turnkey retail interior projects, including furniture and fittings, with an ability to understand and interpret CAD drawings.

You will play a critical role in ensuring that all work is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Execution: Manage and oversee the end-to-end delivery of projects, including design, procurement, installation, and handover.
  • Coordination: Liaise with internal teams, clients, contractors, suppliers, and designers to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Budget Management: Develop, manage, and track project budgets and timelines. Ensure projects are completed within agreed financial and time constraints.
  • CAD Drawings: Interpret and review CAD drawings, layouts, and design plans to ensure alignment with client requirements and feasibility for implementation.
  • Quality Control: Monitor the quality of materials, finishes, and installations, ensuring that all work complies with specifications and meets client expectations.
  • Vendor Management: Source and manage suppliers for furniture, fixtures, and fittings. Ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks during project execution and implement mitigation plans.
  • Reporting & Documentation: Maintain accurate records of project progress, budgets, and issues, providing regular updates to clients and senior management.
  • Client Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle. Address client concerns, provide regular updates, and manage expectations.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience: Minimum 4 years of project leadership experience, specifically in the retail interior design and fit-out sector.
  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of Advanced Excel for project tracking, budgeting, and reporting. Familiarity with CAD software and ability to understand and review technical drawings and plans.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and maintain professional relationships.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Team Leadership: Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, contractors, and vendors to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Client-Focused: Ability to manage client expectations, deliver high-quality results, and ensure client satisfaction.
  • Desired Skills/Qualities: Familiarity with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Asana, Trello, etc.). Understanding of building codes and industry standards. Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.

A strong candidate will possess excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and prioritize tasks effectively.
