The Project Development Manager role is critical in driving our land acquisition strategy for wind projects. As part of this team, you will play a key role in identifying suitable land parcels, negotiating acquisitions, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead land acquisition efforts for wind projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify potential sites and secure agreements.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local stakeholders, including government officials, community leaders, and landowners.
  • Ensure adherence to relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to land use, environmental impact assessments, and permitting.
  • Assess risks associated with land acquisition and develop mitigation strategies to minimize delays or cost overruns.
  • Participate in due diligence activities, including site visits, document reviews, and negotiations with landowners or developers.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop project plans, schedules, and budgets, ensuring timely and within-budget project delivery.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 12 years of experience in land acquisition and project development, preferably in the renewable energy sector.
  • Strong understanding of Indian laws, regulations, and policies governing land use, environment, and infrastructure development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at various levels.
  • Proven track record of successful land acquisition and project development, with ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with project management tools, including project scheduling, budgeting, and risk management.
