The Role:

As a Category Manager, you will develop and implement comprehensive strategies that align with business goals, focusing on growth, profitability, and market share expansion. You will oversee product assortment within the bakery category, ensuring a balanced mix of offerings catering to consumer preferences. Regular market research will be conducted to gather insights into consumer preferences, emerging trends, and potential growth areas. Close collaboration with sales and R&D teams will ensure alignment of objectives and seamless execution of bakery category plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze sales data to understand present offerings to key customers
  • Understand bakery category performance and metrics
  • Identify gaps and untapped opportunities with strategic accounts
  • Assess current market position and formulate a strategic growth plan for the bakery category

Pipeline Development

  • Drive customer-led initiatives to improve pipeline and aid business growth
  • Timely review and facilitate seamless execution of pipeline projects

Project Management

  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders for customer innovation days/meetings
  • Develop and train sales pitches for key account engagements
  • Present customer future requirements to internal stakeholders

Drive Innovation

  • Identify gaps and untapped opportunities in the product portfolio
  • Support R&D in developing future products
  • Collaborate with R&D to identify innovative products and build a pitch portfolio
