Job Overview

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate incoming bakery orders to optimize shift operations, ensuring seamless workflow transitions.
  • Plan and execute mise en place for current and next shifts, promoting efficiency and productivity.
  • Collaborate with front-end and production teams to manage special/custom orders smoothly, fostering effective communication.
  • Maintain the Raw Material Indent Chart for the next day, coordinating with the store to ensure accurate inventory management.
  • Delegate preparation tasks for the next shift, guaranteeing efficient transitions and minimizing downtime.
  • Develop and manage duty rosters for staff assigned to each shift, ensuring adequate coverage and flexibility.
  • Assist the Sous Chef in overseeing daily bakery operations, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Supervise the bakery section in the absence of the Sous Chef, upholding high standards of product quality, consistency, and hygiene.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 4-5 years of experience in a bakery or hotel kitchen environment, preferably with supervisory experience.
  • Certification/Diploma in Bakery or Culinary Arts is preferred, demonstrating expertise in relevant areas.
  • Strong knowledge of bakery production processes, raw materials, and food safety standards, enabling effective decision-making.
  • Proven leadership skills, with the ability to lead a team and manage operations independently.
  • Excellent planning, communication, and coordination skills, facilitating seamless collaboration and execution.
