Key Responsibilities:- Evaluate incoming bakery orders to optimize shift operations, ensuring seamless workflow transitions.
- Plan and execute mise en place for current and next shifts, promoting efficiency and productivity.
- Collaborate with front-end and production teams to manage special/custom orders smoothly, fostering effective communication.
- Maintain the Raw Material Indent Chart for the next day, coordinating with the store to ensure accurate inventory management.
- Delegate preparation tasks for the next shift, guaranteeing efficient transitions and minimizing downtime.
- Develop and manage duty rosters for staff assigned to each shift, ensuring adequate coverage and flexibility.
- Assist the Sous Chef in overseeing daily bakery operations, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Supervise the bakery section in the absence of the Sous Chef, upholding high standards of product quality, consistency, and hygiene.
- Minimum 4-5 years of experience in a bakery or hotel kitchen environment, preferably with supervisory experience.
- Certification/Diploma in Bakery or Culinary Arts is preferred, demonstrating expertise in relevant areas.
- Strong knowledge of bakery production processes, raw materials, and food safety standards, enabling effective decision-making.
- Proven leadership skills, with the ability to lead a team and manage operations independently.
- Excellent planning, communication, and coordination skills, facilitating seamless collaboration and execution.
