Lead Production Manager

 

Overview of the Role:

The Lead Production Manager is responsible for overseeing the entire production process, from planning and scheduling to execution and quality control. This role requires strong leadership skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to drive results-oriented initiatives.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Production Planning and Execution

  • Develop and implement production plans that align with business objectives
  • Oversee daily/weekly/monthly production planning and on-time execution across shifts
  • Monitor and analyze production data to identify areas for improvement

Quality Control and Assurance

  • Enforce strict adherence to SOPs, recipes, and specifications
  • Identify and resolve floor issues promptly
  • Maintain high-quality output at optimal cost

Team Leadership and Development

  • Lead a team of shift supervisors and production workforce
  • Coach and develop team members to achieve their full potential
  • Partner with HR on hiring and staffing decisions

 

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

  • Bakery/Pastry Chef, Food Technology or Engineering Background
  • 10+ years in production/plant leadership within bread/bakery/confectionery
  • Proven multi-shift management and supervisor leadership experience

Skills and Abilities:

  • Deep knowledge of bakery processes, equipment, and ingredients
  • Strong command of production planning, inventory control, and Lean/CI tools
  • Working knowledge of FSSAI, HACCP, and related food-safety protocols
