Job Overview

Nomura's Wholesale division provides capital raising and advisory services, structuring, sales and trading of global securities, and distinctive investment research to global corporations, governments and financial institutions.

The Global Markets team focuses on pricing, modelling, position-keeping, market tracking and trade-idea generation. As an Analyst/Associate, you will work closely with Trading, Sales and Structuring functions dealing primarily with EMEA and US regions.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with global trading desks facing dynamic markets and aggressive deadlines.
  • Developing knowledge of relevant global financial products and models.
  • Providing client support, including data requests and bespoke model design.
  • Performing trade modelling, strategy selection, and performance analysis.
  • Maintaining infrastructure to implement new models and existing ones.
  • Working closely with sales, traders, and structurers to enable new trades to be executed.
Requirements

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • A commercial mentality with an entrepreneurial bias.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate internally and externally.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and result-focused.
  • High standards of professional ethics.
  • Comfortable with databases and using technology to solve problems.
  • Previous experience/education in credit derivatives and financial analysis.
