About this opportunity:

We are looking for a skilled Routing and Switching Network Engineer to design, implement, manage, and troubleshoot enterprise network infrastructures.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of networking protocols, best practices, and experience working with Cisco or equivalent network hardware in high-availability environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, deploy, and maintain enterprise-level network infrastructure (LAN/WAN).
  • Configure and troubleshoot routers, switches, and firewalls (primarily Cisco, Juniper, or HP).
  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal uptime.
  • Implement and maintain network security and access controls.
  • Work with cross-functional IT teams to support new deployments and resolve issues.
  • Perform network upgrades, patching, and firmware management.
  • Maintain documentation for network topologies, configurations, and procedures.
  • Participate in disaster recovery and business continuity planning.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3+ years of experience in network engineering, focusing on routing and switching.
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts: TCP/IP, VLANs, STP, OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, NAT, ACLs, QoS.
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco routers and switches.
  • Experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG, Wireshark).
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve complex networking issues quickly and efficiently.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Cisco certifications: CCNA, CCNP.
  • Experience with SD-WAN, MPLS, and network automation tools.
  • Knowledge of firewalls and VPN technologies (Cisco ASA, Palo Alto, Fortinet).
