About the Role

We are seeking a skilled commodity procurer to manage procurement of automotive electrical & electronic commodities. The ideal candidate will work closely with suppliers, engineering, and quality teams to ensure reliable sourcing at competitive costs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage procurement of automotive electrical & electronic commodities such as wiring harnesses, sensors & switches, relays, fuses, connectors, control units/ECUs, lighting systems, instrument clusters & other electronic sub-systems.
  • Lead strategic sourcing initiatives ensuring best cost, quality, and delivery.
  • Drive localisation projects to reduce dependency on imports and improve supply chain resilience.
  • Conduct vendor identification, evaluation, and development for new and existing suppliers.
  • Cross-functional collaboration with R&D, design, and quality teams for supplier alignment with technical requirements.

Maintaining strong relationships with vendors is key. Effective communication skills are essential to drive project outcomes and ensure long-term partnerships.

Requirements
  • Detailed knowledge of automotive electrical & electronic commodity procurement.
  • Strong negotiation, cost analysis, and supplier management skills.
  • Proven expertise in strategic sourcing, vendor development, localisation, and cost management.
  • Exposure to APQP, PPAP, and supplier quality processes in the automotive industry.
  • ERP knowledge (SAP/Oracle or equivalent) and MS Office proficiency.
