About This Role

This is a visionary position that involves developing, implementing, and overseeing high-quality reading and literature programs.

The ideal candidate will drive excellence in literacy instruction, fostering a deep appreciation for reading and critical analysis of texts across all relevant age groups or academic levels.

This role champions evidence-based practices, curriculum innovation, and professional development to ensure learners achieve strong reading comprehension, fluency, vocabulary, and literary analysis skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement reading programs that meet the needs of students.
  2. Collaborate with teachers to create engaging learning experiences.
  3. Engage students in the learning process and promote a love of reading.
  4. Manage documentation and communication systems to ensure seamless program implementation.
  5. Implement initiatives under the school reading program and monitor progress in real-time.
  6. Analyze data to inform program decisions and generate reports as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in English (Desirable - Post-graduation in language and literature)
  • Experience: 2-5 years of progressive experience in teaching reading and literature at K-12

Skills & Knowledge:

  • Strong communication (written and verbal), and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions
  • Excellent presentation and professional development facilitation skills
  • Proficiency in educational technology and its application in literacy instruction
